This one has been a long time in the making. I'm pretty awful when it comes to coloring, but I suppose I'm not too bad at my lineart. *AlineMendes and I decided it would be fun to do a collaboration. She's great at coloring and really feels happiness and inspiration while doing it, and I feel that way about drawing but I become frustrated when trying to color. thus, this collab was born!

We wanted to do something Zelda oriented, so we picked this one. The lines for the horse, Malon, and Link were done by me, and the Stalfos and coloring were done by her. The Master Sword was also done by her, because all I left her as a guideline was a little ball and a triangle for a blade. LOL!

Colors: *AlineMendes *Gizenya

There wasn't too much thought behind why this scene is actually taking place. I just sort of started drawing the two of them on Epona and we figured a big poe would work out fine, since the sun has set, and Aline wanted to draw stalfos, so she added them too! Done! haha!

Perhaps you creative people out there could come up with a backstory for this pic? Since I'm tapped out at the moment ;)

Enjoy ^^

Really? Ok!

The evil of Ganondorfs reign has begun to taint more and more of the lands of Hyrule. As Link was riding through Hyrule fields, he saw smoke rising in the distance, from the direction of the ranch. He urged Epona forward as a cold sweat broke on his skin. Racing through hordes or Stal Childs, he expertly maneuvers his way through, reaching the entrance to Lon Lon Ranch. His heart skipped a beat as he saw the heavy wooden doors hanging listlessly, half on and half off their hinges. He slows Epona to a trot, and calls out in the still air.
"Malon! Talon! And, uh... that other guy..." he ended in a mutter. Who was the farm hand? Oh well. Epona pawed the ground nervously, her nostrils flared in alarm. Link patted her soothingly on the side of the neck, and dismounted. He slowly opened the door to their house, and beheld the carnage within. Blood and feathers lay everywhere, the remnants of Talons beloved cucco game. The tables and jars were smashed to splinters and pieces, and huge gouges were in the walls and floor, evidence of a struggle.
Link had just bent down to look closer at a pair of footsteps when he heard a rustling behind him. He quickly spun and brought his shield in front of him. The blade of the Garudos Naginata was deflected with a clang, and Link severed it at the wooden pole. She threw the piece of timber angrily to the floor and whistled. Two more of the thieves came running into the building, bringing along with them...
"Wolfos, wonderful," Link said in annoyance. The thiefs laughed as they unchained the collars at the beasts necks, and ran outside as Link was charged. Link quickly ran into their assault, his shield up and the Master Sword singing through the air. A wolfos howled in pain as his leg was removed from his body, and Link let out a angry battle cry as he charged the unscathed one.
The Wolfos was uncertain, having this powerful two legged beast screaming at him as his partner lay howling in pain. The monster swung his claws at link erratically, panicking in an animalistic fashion. Link absorbed the blows with his shield, waiting for the creature to make an opening. It came when Link pulled back, and the Wolfos overstepped its attack, spinning around. Link dashed forward and impaled the creature, watching his blade come out the other side of the monsters torso with a fountain of blood. Pulling his sword from the dying Wolfos, he wiped the blood on some straw and headed back outside. Epona was off running inside the cage of horses, frightened and seeking comfort in her old home. He ran over to the barn, where the smoke was rising from thickly. He rushed inside, coughing on the thick, heavy smoke. Calling out, he ran a quick search before he left for fresh air again. He breathed sweet, sweet oxygen in deeply as he tried to think where anyone could be, if anyone was still here. He looked into the horse pen and made his way over there, looking for Epona... and his eyes fell on the windmill. That's the only place left, Link thought to himself. He hurried over the dirt track and the grass and grabbed hold of the handle of the door. He pulled it open, and heard a slight gasp before he was tackled tot he ground by a shadowy figure.
"Link! Oh thank the gods! I thought I was done for," Malon sobbed into Links chest. He patted her in a brotherly fashion and pulled her away so he could look her in the face.
"Malon, what in the hell happened here?! Are your father and... uh... that other guy ok," he finished awkwardly. Malon smiled and wiped tears from her eyes, and said, "Yes, papa and Ingo are fine. The Garudo thieves came last night, and we had to leave in a hurry. We are staying over at Kakariko Village. But I couldn't just let the horses be used by those evil women! I snuck back here to release them, but the thieves came back while I was in the horse pen. I quickly ran in here to hide, and have been here for over an hour."
Link smiled reassuringly at her and said, "I'll get us out of here."
They made their way to the horse pen, and Link and Malon worked together in order to get the horses out of the pen. It was better for them to wander in the fields and be gathered later than to be used for evil. When all the horses had gone, besides Epona, Malon had gone back to the house for a few things, if they were still there.
Link was standing in the pen, looking at the stars when he heard a shrill cry behind him. He turned and barely managed to duck beneath a blade that went whistling for his neck. A white garbed Garudo was standing their, dual scimitars singing a deadly duet through the air as the danced in front of Links neck. He evaded, trying to dodge the precise movements of the enemies sword while unsheathing his own. He received several shallow cuts on his arms before he managed to pull his sword out. He instantly began to counter attack, although their was no possible he was he could get to his shield. It would leave him too open for attack when he reached for it. He parried and countered, weaved and dodged out of the deadly whirlwind of steel. He was on the defensive, and backing up when he tripped on a rock, and the Garudo slashed into his thigh deeply. Link cried out involuntarily in pain, before grimacing and getting back to his feet. The pain was immense, and it showed through the sweat suddenly pouring from his face. The Garudo laughed, sure in her victory, as a pitch fork pierced her stomach from behind. She stared at the metal prongs sticking from her abdomen in disbelief, before sliding to the floor, revealing a very miffed Malon.
"Bitch! That was for hurting Link, destroying my house, and burning my barn down with the cows in it! You disgusting, heartless monster," she screamed angrily. She flipped her hair out of her face, smiled sweetly, and said, "Shall we go Link?"
Link stared, open mouthed and dumb-founded, and nodded. She sung for Epona, who came rushing over at a gallop. She helped Link get to his feet and then on to the horse. She climbed up in front of him and he grabbed her around the waist with one hand and guided Epona with the other.
Although they didn't know it, they were both feeling a perverse, guilty kind of pleasure with the current situation, as they rode of into Hyrule Fields towards Kakariko Village.

Hows that?
I love Fan Fiction. I'm a little rusty though. Lol!

Not bad. The forelegs of Epona are a bit long, but the coloring is very... Cartoonish/fantasy esque. Reminds me of the feel that dreams usually have.
