DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT ME IN THE PHOTO!! THIS IS MY SISTER LEAH!!

This is the costume of Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) that I made for my 17 year old sister Leah. Leah looks alot like me so people mistake her for me. This is not me in the photo, this is Leah my sister.

This dress actually has 16 gores in it, and underneith she is wearing a corset that is squeezing her waist down to 23 inches. We decided that she needed an unnaturally small waist because Aurora had one in the movie. It needed to be victorian-small... so I kicked out a corset for her in a few hours.

O.O wow! That is amazing! She looks so much like Aurora! I love Aurora. I am going to look at the other pictures ^_^ and probably comment on them as well.

Lovely as always.

The ONLY time I have ever cosplayed was at Disney Sydney's last Christmas party. The theme was 'come as your fave Disney character'. I WANTED to come as Belle (in the blue dress) but being blonde, I couldn't pull off the hair and I couldn't find a suitable wig. Instead, I went as Briar Rose - I got the outfit perfect, I was so proud :). The wig was a little trickier - I couldn't QUITE manage that weird cowlick Aurora has, but it worked okay. The ironic thing was, a couple of my own co-workers thought I was Belle *sweatdrop*

HAHA they thought you were Belle? WTH? But Belle has brown hair !><!!! I couldn't get the cowlickthing on Aurora's bangs either. I tried but gave up.. I just settled for the largeness of them instead.
